Meatball recipe:
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1tsp. salt
1/4 tsp.- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1lb. ground beef
1/2lb. bulk pork sausage
Sauce:
15oz. can tomato sauce
6oz. can tomato paste
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup red wine or beef broth
1/3 cup water
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. dried oregano
1tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
1.Make meatballs by combining eggs and milk. Add bread crumbs, cheese and seasonings. Add meats. Mix well. Shape into 1-in. balls. Broil or saute until brown. Put in slow cooker. *You can buy premade meatballs and use them too.
2.Combine sauce ingredients. Pour over meatballs.
3.Cover. Cook on Low 4-6 hours.
4.Serve on rolls with creamy red potatoes, salad, and dessert.
