Ok it's been right bit chilly here at wonderful Fort Belvoir, Va. With hubby getting sick and me wanting something that would keep all our bellies full this was it. I must say this is a keeper in my house, hands down everyone liked it. Bon Appetite!
6 potatoes, peeled chopped or scalloped
4 cups of milk
1lb. smoked sausage, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
shredded cheese
1.Boils potatoes till done. Drain
2.While potatoes are boiling in water, cook sausage and garlic till cooked all the way through. Drain, and set aside.
3.Once potatoes are done, combine the milk, sausage with garlic and bring to a boil. If you have a hand held blender submerse into the soup and blend for about 2-3 min. If not take about 2 cups of the soup with potatoes only in it and process in a food processor or blender till smooth. Add back to the stock pot/soup pot.
4.Bring back to a boil for about 2-3 min. then let simmer. Add the seasonings. Stir till well blended.
